Reports and audit

Show your insurer, your accountant or your own future self exactly what happened.

The NounDesk Reports page gives a compliance overview, top issues, breakdowns by policy and by group, Android version distribution, security patch age, and enrollment and wipe history. You can download CSV files for the device inventory, open compliance issues, and the audit log for a date range. The audit log records every administrator action with who did it, what it targeted, the result and the time.

The Reports page

Sooner or later someone asks for proof. The Reports page turns I think we're fine into a page you can print.

  • Compliance overview and top issues, so you fix the one thing that fixes twenty.
  • Breakdowns by policy and by group, so you know which team needs a visit.
  • Android versions and security patch age, which is what insurance questionnaires ask about.

Report charts that lead to the devices

Compliance, connectivity, Device Trust and security-update age each come as a donut chart. Every slice shows its label, its count and its percentage, so the chart says what it means even printed in black and white.

  • Readable for colour-blind users, because no slice relies on colour alone.
  • Click a slice's label to jump to the devices that make it up.
  • Three phones with security updates over 30 days old is one click from the list of those three phones.

CSV downloads for whoever is asking

Three downloads cover most requests, and they open in any spreadsheet.

  • Device inventory with model, serial, IMEI where reported, employee, group, policy and status.
  • Open compliance issues, so you can see exactly what is wrong and where.
  • The audit log for any date range you choose.

The audit log

Every action taken by anyone on your team is recorded with the actor, the target, the result and the time, and nothing can be deleted from it.

  • Publish a policy, lock a phone, erase a tablet, change a role: all of it is there.
  • When you need to know who did what last Tuesday, the answer is a filter away.
  • Reports never include call logs, messages, browsing or location outside lost mode, because none of that is collected.

Sooner or later someone asks for proof. A cyber-insurance form asks whether your devices are encrypted. A client's procurement team asks what happens when staff leave. You want to know who erased that tablet last Tuesday. Reports and the audit log answer all three.

Why this matters for small businesses

Large companies have compliance teams. You have a Tuesday afternoon.

  • A page you can print

Reports turn "I think we're fine" into something you can hand over.

  • Mistakes are a quick look-up

The audit log shows who did what and when, in five minutes.

  • Pair with team roles

So only the right people can take destructive actions.

Reports & audit log: questions answered

Can I export my device list?

Yes, as CSV: device inventory, open compliance issues, and the audit log for any date range.

What is in the audit log?

Every administrator action: who did it, what device, employee or policy it targeted, whether it succeeded, and when. Lock, erase, policy publish, role changes, all of it.

Can I see how old the security patches are across the fleet?

Yes. The patch-age report shows how many devices are within 30, 90 or more days of the latest patch, which is often what a cyber-insurance questionnaire asks.

Can I go from a chart to the devices behind it?

Yes. Every chart slice shows its label, count and percentage, and clicking the label opens the list of matching devices.

Do reports include personal information?

They include device details and the employee each device is assigned to. They never include call logs, messages, browsing or location outside lost mode, because NounDesk does not collect those.
