NounDeskRemote actions
Who: Owner, Admin, Operator. Erase device needs Owner or Admin.
Open a device and use the buttons at the top:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Lock | Locks the screen now (Lock device). |
| Reboot | Restarts the device (Reboot device). Fully managed devices only. |
| Lost mode | Locks the device and shows your message and contact details (see Lost devices and location). |
| Clear app data | Pick apps and select Clear data. Android 9+. |
| Refresh info | Asks the device to report its latest details. |
| Reset password | Enter a New password twice; optionally require the employee to enter it now and lock the device. |
| Erase device | Factory resets the device. Type ERASE to confirm. Keep Keep factory reset protection (recommended) ticked. |
| Retire device | Removes an erased or never-enrolled device from your list. |
NounDesk only says a command is complete once the device confirms it. Status moves from Waiting for device… to Completed, or to Failed or Expired if the device doesn’t respond. See Command statuses for what each one means.
